Job description
- Patient Care: Provide direct care to patients, including assessing their conditions, monitoring vital signs, and administering medications as prescribed.
- Care Planning: Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient assessments and medical diagnoses.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medical histories, nursing care plans, and progress notes.
- Communication: Effectively communicate with patients, families, and members of the healthcare team to ensure continuity of care and address any concerns or questions.
- Education: Educate patients and their families about their conditions, treatments, and medications, providing support and guidance as needed.
- Safety: Adhere to safety protocols and infection control measures to maintain a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with physicians, registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and optimize outcomes.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly and effectively to medical emergencies, demonstrating proficiency in basic life support techniques and emergency procedures.
