Thanal is an indigenous humanitarian organisation and association founded by a group of local community members and professionals in Vadakara in 2008. For 15 years, it has been actively involved in humanitarian activities throughout India, with a special focus on holistic rehabilitation. The programmes encourage collaboration with stakeholders and a participatory, community-based approach that complements governmental objectives. The foundation’s team of multidisciplinary experts works collaboratively to attain these goals. Thanal was formed in response to a perceived need because it does more than just provide charity to the ‘most in need’; it also ensures that all beneficiaries and their families have successfully reintegrated into the socioeconomic and psychosocial realms at their full human capacity.
Our vision is to be “people positive,” – we care about everyone we are confronted with, from our partners to the most vulnerable, and beyond.

250 കുഞ്ഞുങ്ങള്ക്ക് സൗജന്യ ശസ്ത്രക്രിയയുമായി തണല് വടകരയും ആസ്റ്റര് മിംസും കൈകോര്ക്കുന്നു നിര്ധന കുടുംബങ്ങളിലെ ഭിന്നശേഷിക്കാരായ 102 കുഞ്ഞുങ്ങള്ക്ക് സൗജന്യ അസ്ഥി വൈകല്യ ശസ്ത്രക്രിയ (Deformity Correction Surgery) നല്കുവാനായി തണല് വടകരയുടെ നേതൃത്വത്തില്
കലോൽത്സവ വെൽഫെയർ കമ്മിറ്റിക്ക് തണൽ നൽകിയ പ്രൊജക്ടിന് ഇന്ന് മന്ത്രിമാർ, വിവിധ നിയോജക മണ്ഡലം എം.എ.എൽ , ഡി.ഡി, ഡി. എ.ഇ.ഒമാർ എന്നീവർ പങ്കെടുത്ത യോഗത്തിൽ അംഗീകാരം ലഭിച്ചു.
